Why SMSV Needs You
SMSV requires a strong membership base to be the representative organization of the Singapore medical and allied health community in Victoria.
With a strong membership base, we will be in a better position to form partnerships with other organizations so as to implement programs that would ultimately benefit our members.
We are also looking for a group of dedicated individuals to commit themselves to serve in our committee. This is a valuable opportunity to represent your peers in a professional capacity.
To become a SMSV member
It’s not hard to become a member of the Singapore Medical Society of Victoria. You can sign up with us at any SMSV event. We do look forward to you being part of the Singaporean medical family here in Victoria!
Membership is open to all medical and allied health students studying in Victoria, as well as health care professionals interested in a career in Singapore.
Meanwhile, do join us at Facebook or keep yourself updated through this website to find out about our upcoming activities! You can also join our discussion board at http://forums.smsv.sg/
Apply to Join the SMSV Committee
SMSV is looking for enthusiastic meddies to join our committee. You will be helping out your fellow students by being involved in organizing a range of social, academic and employment related activities throughout the year. As part of the committee, you will be representing the interests of your fellow Singaporean meddies (as well as any other students interested in the Singapore healthcare sector). If you have any new ideas for enriching activities, or have opinions on changes you would like to see, this is your opportunity to put them in place. You will be joining a capable, dedicated, friendly committee, comprising students across all year levels from Monash and Melbourne University.
We welcome any interested medical or allied health student to be part of our committee, regardless of nationality.
New committee members would be part of a ‘general committee’, which would give you the chance to take on different job scopes under the guidance of current committee members. This would give you time to become familiar with what we do, and later you would be able to decide on which portfolio you would be most keen on taking up.
