SMSV Launch & NHG Career Talk – 2nd and 3rd May 2008
2nd and 3rd May 2008
With a ‘pop’ of the champagne bottle and amongst many happy faces, the Singapore Medical Society of Victoria (SMSV) was officially launched on the 3rd of May this year. This event was proudly sponsored by the National Healthcare Group (NHG) and was held in conjunction with the NHG Australia Recruitment Seminar 2008, which spanned over 2 days – 2nd and 3rd of May.
It was not an event to be missed as participants (regardless of which year they were in their medical career) not only had a chance to find out more about what SMSV has to offer to members, but also had the golden opportunity to speak with key representatives from NHG (as listed below) and discuss about the working and even elective placement opportunities in Singapore. The session provided an opportunity for medical students to gain a detailed understanding of working in the Singapore Healthcare industry, regardless of one’s nationality.
Key personnels from NHG which were present were:
- Professor Chee Yam Cheng
Assistant CEO (Clinical), NHG,
Senior Consultant, Department of General Medicine, TTSH - Dr. Loke Wai Chiong
Director, Clinical Manpower, NHG
Consultant Family Physician
- Mr. Matthew Loh
Assistant Manager, Clinical Manpower, NHG
